Robert Pattinson in Running to play Spiderman?

I saw this coming and I said as much and today The Daily Record is reporting that Hollywood Watchers ( whatever those are ) say that Robert Pattinson is being tipped to don the tights and play Spiderman.  Quick recap Sam Raimi the director and the entire cast have been let go and Spiderman 4 has been cancelled.

The plan now is to REBOOT the film franchise and start over. No doubt with a cheaper first time director and a younger hipper star to attract the younger demographic. Robert Pattinson fits that bill. Do I actually think that he will end up as Spiderman? Tough to say.
