Christopher Nolan is producing the upcoming reboot of Superman Man of Steel and today from Deadline comes word that they have some real powerhouse directors in mind to take the helm of the Superman Man of Steel Movie and reboot it. This new film is reportedly giong to be a complete redo and ignore the events of the first film. With Nolan at the helm there is no doubt this take will be an experience much like Batman Begins and Dark Knight.
Deadline reports that the short list of directors includes Zach Snyder who did 300 and Watchmen, Tony Scott who just finished Unstoppable, Jonathon Liebsman who is doing Battle Los Angeles and Duncan Jones who did the scifi thriller MOON.
Also on the list for Consideration is Matt Reeves who directed Cloverfield and the recent remake of Let The Right One in. Frankly I think all of these are great choices but if I had my say I would think that Zach Snyder or Duncan Jones would be great choices. Zach Snyder has experience with the genre and a distinct visual style that fans love and Duncan Jones proved with MOON that he is a genius at delivering content that is entertaining and outside of the box.
Superman Man of Steel is slated for a 2012 release.
