Ukraine imposes a state of emergency in almost the entire country

The state of emergency will cover all regions of the country, except for the Lugansk and Donetsk regions of the Donbass, where a special legal regime is already in force.

As Marcin Wirwall, the Onet correspondent in Kiev, wrote about the implementation of the state of emergency:

The state of emergency in Ukraine, which parliament voted to implement on Wednesday, provides for, among other things: no gatherings and strikes, and the possibility of curfews.

The state of emergency states, inter alia, that: Prohibition of changing the domicile of reservists and enlisted men. It also provides for a ban on the production of media materials “that could destabilize the situation in the country.”

For example, it is also planned to evacuate people from dangerous places of residence and to control the documents of citizens.

If necessary, restrictions on freedom of movement, as well as curfews, can be imposed. There may be a check of transportation, premises and personal belongings.

The heads of the regional authorities and Kiev will establish the headquarters of operations
