The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Anniversary Edition at a very high price. Owners of the current version do not have a chance to get a free update

A few months ago, Bethesda announced the anniversary release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Production will continue in a few days 10 years on the back of the neck and in the meantime it has received a solid set of accessories, many special editions and countless modifications, in a somewhat visual way to change the perception of the game. We’ll have to wait a little longer for The Elder Scrolls VI, but it looks like Bethesda wants to make more money out of the Five, which is still a very popular production after 10 years on the market. A few days before the premiere of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Anniversary Edition, the manufacturer revealed the price at which we will buy the new version. Unfortunately, it won’t be cheap. Owners of previous versions, including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Special Edition, cannot count on the free upgrade.

Therefore, in Poland we should expect a price in the range of PLN 260. So it is a very high price, considering that the main change from the Special Edition are the added modifications, which fans made for free. If we had The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Special Edition, we would buy the update to the Anniversary Edition for 19.99 euros, that is, about 90 zlotys. Unfortunately, we will not receive a free upgrade. The above prices are for the digital versions. In addition, boxed versions of PS4 consoles (and a free upgrade to the PS5 version) and Xbox One (also with a free upgrade to the Series X/S version) will also be available for sale – in which case prices will depend on select sellers.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Anniversary Edition will debut in a few days, and it contains all the elements of the 2016 Special Edition, that is, three official extensions (Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn), but also more than 500 fan-made mods from Creation Club – quests, dungeons, bosses, weapons, spells, hunting mechanics, etc.). The game will also be enriched with survival mode and story missions from the Saints and Seducers series. Current generation console owners can also count on additional visual improvements and full use of SSD media to load games faster.
