Cyberpunk 2077 is back on top! A surprising development for CD Projekt RED’s game

CD Projekt RED is no longer actively developing the Night City adventure, but Cyberpunk 2077 is still very popular. The title increased the sales rankings.

CD Projekt RED focuses mainly on a new adventure from the world of Andrzej Sapkowski. The Witcher 4 will be the next major production of an experienced studio, but we must not forget that the second team has already begun preliminary work on the next Cyberpunk – fans of the Polish work will have to be patient while waiting for the first materials.

However, players are eager to return to Night City, and a clear example of this is the latest sales ranking from Great Britain. Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition turned out to be the most purchased game last week.

This is a big surprise, because Cyberpunk 2077 rose from 40th place in the rankings, and this huge difference was most likely related to the price cut – V’s adventure in Night City turned out to be better than the last exclusive available only on PlayStation 5, namely Stellar Blade.

The list below includes some facts like EA Sports FC 24, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Bros. Wonder or Minecraft, but some may be surprised by how well Sonic Superstars performed – the title jumped from 29th to 4th place, which was also affected by the upgrade.

Most purchased toys in Great Britain (week to May 4):

  1. Cyberpunk 2077: Definitive Edition
  2. Star blade
  3. EA Sports FC 24
  4. Sonic Super Stars
  5. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  6. WWE 2K24
  7. Super Mario Bros Wonder
  8. Hogwarts Legacy
  9. Minecraft (Switch)
  10. The endless ocean is illuminated
