George Lazenby, Australian actor. He is best known for his role as James Bond in the 1969 film “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”. Born on 5 September 1939 in Goulburn, Wales, Lazenby initially worked as a model and advertising actor. His breakthrough role as 007 came unexpectedly, as Lazenby had no previous experience in feature films. He was chosen to play Bond after Sean Connery’s exit from the series, and his more human and sensitive interpretation of the character was met with mixed reactions from critics and fans.
