NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB quietly debuts, starting at $169

In January, NVIDIA released three new Ada Lovelace generation graphics chips. Of course we are talking about the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER models. This is what the manufacturer focused on in the first weeks of this year, although as we have long known, there was another graphics card model planned. We are talking about the GeForce RTX 3050 in a new version, which is somewhat controversial, to put it mildly. NVIDIA is officially introducing a new display model, although it's a quiet launch.

NVIDIA is quietly introducing the GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card with 6GB of VRAM. MSRP is $169.

Palit GeForce RTX 3050 KalmX 6GB – Fully passively cooled integrated graphics card coming

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB specifications are unchanged compared to pre-release information. A slightly trimmed Ampere GA107 system is used here with 2304 CUDA FP32 processors, 72 3rd generation TMUs and Tensors, 32 ROP units and 18 2nd generation RT cores. The card has a much lower TDP of just 70W. This is possible thanks to a significantly lower graphics base clock – from 1552MHz to 1042MHz in Basic mode and from 1777MHz to 1470MHz in GPU Boost mode. However, this solution allows for fully passive designs to be set up, such as the Palit GeForce RTX 3050 KalmX 6GB discussed earlier.

The official MSRP price of the new GeForce RTX 3050 6 GB Edition has also been confirmed. It is exactly 169 USD (at the current exchange rate, this translates to about 830 PLN including VAT). In the USA, the first offers of non-reference models are starting to appear, namely ASUS GeForce RTX 3050 6 GB Dual ($169.99), ASUS GeForce RTX 3050 6 GB Dual OC ($179.99), MSI GeForce RTX 3050 6 GB LP OC ($179.99). $), MSI GeForce RTX 3050 6GB Ventus 2X ($169.99), and MSI GeForce RTX 3050 6GB Gaming So the prices are relatively close to NVIDIA's official MSRP. In Poland, these models, according to what we saw in local store offers, are not yet available for sale. When it comes to performance, according to the first ComputerBase tests, the 6GB GeForce RTX 3050 is weaker than the 8GB version (with full GA106-150 cores) by about 20%.
