In August next year, the movie “Alien: Romulus” will be shown on cinema screens, which is another part of the famous “Alien” series, which began with the movie “Alien – “The 8th Passenger of the Nostromo” in 1979, directed by Ridley Scott. The legendary Briton is one of the producers of the new picture, so he already had the opportunity to see it.After the screening, he decided to share his impressions with the director of the film “Romulus”, Fede Alvarez.

What do we know about the movie “Alien: Romulus”?

The project, directed by Fede Alvarez, will not be a sequel or spin-off of the previous parts of the series that revolve around the deadly xenomorph. It’s a completely new story, but it’s set in the same world as a Ridley Scott or James Cameron movie. The heroes of the film – a group of young people – will go to a remote place where they will have to confront a strange-looking being. The main role went to Cailee Spaeny (“Eastown Mare”, “Pacific Rim: Uprising”). Her famous partners include: from “Dora and the City of Gold” and “Transformers: The Last Knight” by Isabella Merced.

Fede Alvarez is an Uruguayan-born director, screenwriter, and producer. His English-language debut was the 2013 reboot of Evil Dead. Since then, Álvarez has directed two sequels to the thriller Don’t Breathe, and The Girl in the Spider’s Web, an adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s best-selling book , and the Apple TV+ series “Call Waiting.”

Let us remember that, in addition to “The Eighth Passenger of the Nostromo,” Ridley Scott made two more films set in the alien world – “Prometheus” (2012) and “Alien: Covenant” (2017). The Briton is also a producer on the “Alien” series being prepared for FX by “Fargo” creator Noah Hawley.
