Jon & Kate Divorce Episode Choked Me Up

More talk of Jon and Kate Plus 8 and hopefully some feedback from you all. Its official since the last episode and People.com made it known that Jon and Kate are not just seperating but are divorcing. Earlier I thought Jon was the one who filed for divorce but it seems it was Kate who did it. The episode really hit me hard as I saw the kids running around oblivious to what is going on as 10.6million viewers watched their lives fall apart.

In an interview with RadarOnline Kates Brother said that TLC should be ashamed of themselves for airing this and using the families downfall for their own profit. I in some senses agree but at the end of the day in my books the only victims are the Kids. The parents did not have to put their family through this. The show is going on hiatus and it could have started alot sooner to avoid thi.

I have always been a huge fan of the show and only recently did the lack of realism, the big huge house, the new 'Paris Hilton' look for Kate and the lack of interesting stories made me lose any interest. I have to ask though where can the show go from here? Do those of you who are fans hope the show continues? Or do you think TLC needs to stop the show completely and let the family get their things in order and live a normal life.

I for one hope for the sake of the children that TLC will take at least a year away from the family, or cancel it outright so that the poor kids can go through the difficulty of the divorce without bloggers ( myself included ) constantly talking about it. If Jon and Kate are truly thinking of the kids and I have to believe they are they will step back, get real jobs and let somebody else become the new IT reality family of the month. What are your thoughts? Do you want to see the show go on? Are you still a fan? Would you prefer the show is cancelled?
