Dark Knight Rises Plot Revealed, New Trailer

Dark Knight Rises Plot Revealed, New TrailerShockingly the studio has opted to reveal a plot for The Dark Knight Rises. Up until now its been a very generic synopsis released that basically says its Batman and Nolan is directing. Now out of left field the studio has released a much more detail oriented synopsis. It reads as follows;

It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act.

But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.

Also new today is the MTV trailer which just hit the internet via the Bat nerds at Batman News. The Dark Knight Rises has sold over 100,000 tickets to date and Midnight showing tickets are going for as much as $300 on EBAY so it is a safe bet to say that the final film in Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise will deliver massive dividends for the studio at the box office. Here is hoping it lives up to the hype for us fans.

The Dark Knight Rises continues to dominate the internet with fans dieing to get new tidbits on the film, me included. Hopefully though most of you have learned to tune out all the new trailers because if there is one thing we all do not need its 40 trailers that give away the entire film like the marketing for The Amazing Spider Man did.
