Are you ready to take a peak at one sweet and sinister looking set up of VHS tapes ever assembled? Then check out the new one sheet released for the new found footage flick V/H/S, the newest horror anthology that features shorts from directors, Joe Swanberg, Ti West, Glenn McQuaid, Adam Wingard, David Bruckner and Radio Silence. V/H/S made its premiere at Sundance earlier this year and has been playing at various film festivals all over the country with a lot of praise coming out at each stop. This October looks to be shaping up like a hell of a year for horror releases with V/H/S first hitting video on demand August 31, 2012 before heading for a theatrical run on October 5, 2012 right along side SINISTER.
V/H/S follows a group of guys hired to retrieve a specific VHS tape from a house. Once in the house they discover a collection of tapes and they begin to watch them and continue to uncover some unsettling secrets within the footage that doesn’t bode well for their venture.
We have yet to see a trailer, but at this point my excitement is high enough that I don’t even need one. I can’t wait to check the film out on demand when its released and should my little slice of Hell be fortunate enough to snag the film during its theatrical run I will likely be ready to watch it on the big screen as well. I’m a fan of most of the filmmakers involved and can’t wait to see what they do with the found footage genre.
