I think that Kick Ass is hands done one of the best comic book movie adaptations of all time. So it should go without saying that I am exited to hear that it is finally making some progress and moving towards production.
The comic by Mark Millar was adapted and directed by Matthew Vaughn for $30million and went on to make almost $100million at the box office. Great writing, great characters and all around a Kick Ass Good time.
Heat Vision is reporting that the sequel Kick Ass 2 will focus more on Hit Girl and her ‘origins’ story. Matthew Vaughn will once again produce but he has tapped Jeff Wadlow to direct. Production is expected to start in September with key characters Chloe Moretz and Aaron Johnson returning obviously.
