Katniss And Peeta Face Off In The New Hunger Games Poster

Katniss And Peeta Face Off In The New Hunger Games Poster

The marketing for THE HUNGER GAMES is ramping up a bit and will likely kick in high gear after the first of the year in preparation for its March release. So far we’ve had posters featuring the series’ iconic Mockingjay pin as well as a batch of character posters to go along with the viral marketing and the trailers- now comes the first poster integrating the Mockingjay pin as well as Katniss and Peeta’s faces high on banners and Katniss standing in the middle of a large crowd of people.

The marketing has yet to really push the dynamic behind Katniss and Peeta which I enjoy since it seems like they are trying to avoid any misconceptions between it and TWILIGHT. I like the new poster on some level since they are incorporating more aspects of the overall story, but I am pretty interested in some of the more sci fi aspects of the books and the fantastic elements of the games themselves.

THE HUNGER GAMES follows a future where citizens of twelve districts are forced to put forth two tributes to compete in an annual fight to the death till one person is left standing. The film is directed by Gary Ross and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz and Donald Sutherland.

oh wow I can’t wait for The Hunger Games to come out!!!!!!  I wish we didn’t have to wait until March :( but I’ll be ready because I’ve read the book and tried to do the puzzle game that revealed the poster above… it’s so cool!  I have found a contest I enter everyday to try and win prizes
