The Whites and Reds’ performance there was well below expectations, which were set really high after previous seasons. Our Eagles fans will not be satisfied with a place in the top 15 in the competition for these outstanding players. Fans are used to standing on podiums and winning.

While Dawid Kubacki and Piotr Żyła were still able to produce a decent level that allowed them to enter the top thirty of the competition, Kamil Stoch was on a completely different level. Unfortunately, the three-time Olympic champion had a bad start to the new season and was not able to show even a small part of his top skills. As a result, doubts arose Whether Stoch should go to competition this weekend in Kellingenthal remains to be seen.

After the weekend in Germany, it will be time to compete on one of Stoch’s favorite hills on the calendar. Competitors will move to Switzerland where they will compete in Engelberg. Our Engelberg champion stood on the podium 12 times. The last time was in 2020 when he finished second behind Halvor Aegner Granerud. Stoch won twice in Engelberg. Usually, after difficult starts, the Pole would regain his glory in Switzerland.
