2002. Denzel Washington and Halle Berry with Academy Awards for their leading roles in “Training Day” and “Judgement”
What do we know about “high and low”?
“High and Low” is a remake of “Heaven and Hell” by Akira Kurosawa. The hero of the original version is businessman Gondo (Toshiro Mifune). When Gondo one day mistakes his driver's son for his offspring and is kidnapped, he faces a moral dilemma: if he pays the ransom, he will face bankruptcy.
The script for the new version was written by Lee and Alan Fox. The project is a co-production between A24 and Apple Original Films. The first studio will handle the film's theatrical distribution, while the second will acquire the rights to show it on the AppleTV+ streaming platform.
“High and Low” will be the fifth collaboration between Washington and Lee. So far, they have filmed the films Black Blues (1990), Malcolm X (1992), Game of Honor (1998) and The Perfect Plan (2006) together.
Watch the trailer for the movie “Moonfall”
Halle Berry's filmography currently ends with “Moonfall” directed by Roland Emmerich. Watch the trailer:
Due to a series of unexplained phenomena, the Moon is knocked out of its orbit and set on a collision course with Earth. If a collision occurs, our planet will be destroyed. Former astronaut Joe Fowler (Halle Berry) is convinced that this phenomenon is caused by a mysterious force of unclear origin. This theory seems crazy to most scientists and politicians, but Fowler believes there is still a chance to save the Earth. Along with the only people who believe in her concept: former astronaut Brian Harper (Patrick Wilson) and a man named Houseman (John Bradley), a conspiracy theorist, Fowler prepares for a last-chance mission. Putting all their knowledge, experience and lives on the line, they embark on a cosmic journey during which they will discover that the moon is not what it always seemed.
