Big event in Poland! The Prime Minister reveals great news!
The 2027 Volleyball World Championship will be held in our country! — We heard in Zakopane. The information quickly spread in the media and delighted fans, and not just volleyball fans.
– I can officially announce that the 2027 Volleyball World Championship will be held in Poland. The great attitude of our volleyball players and fans means that we once again have the opportunity to organize this world-class event – says Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
He adds: “This is great news for all sports fans, but in particular, the great attitude shown by our volleyball players and fans means that we have the opportunity once again to organize this event, which is of the highest international standard.”
It turns out that the attitude of our volleyball players has a huge impact on the return of the World Championship to Poland. Nikola Grbic’s team won the recently concluded European Championship, and millions of fans across the Vistula River are watching the antics of the volleyball players.
– I am lucky because not only do I do what I love, but I also live in a time when Polish volleyball is at the top and we are appreciated. On behalf of the team, I can declare that we will do our best to win gold medals in front of our home fans in 2027, announced Bartosz Coric in Zakopane.
This is another great opportunity for Polish sports. We organized the FIVB World Championship for the first time in 2014. Then matches were held in Gdańsk, Bydgoszcz, Wrocław, Lodz, Katowice, Krakow and at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw. A year ago, our country also hosted the World Cup (and in Slovenia) after the organization was withdrawn from Russia.
