“Joker: Folie à deux” What will the movie be about?

The “Joker” sequel is supposed to be an unusual sequel. The first film has been described as a combination of “Taxi Driver” and “The King of Comedy”. Joker: Folie à deux has been announced as a musical. The screenwriters are Scott Silver and Todd Phillips, the duo also responsible for the first “Joker”.

Plot details are kept. However, we do know that Harley Quinn, played by Lady Gaga, will appear in the movie. This is, of course, one of the most important characters from the Joker’s entourage. In the comics, she was a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum who fell in love with the Joker and became his partner in crime.

The cast also includes Brendan Gleeson, Zazie Beetz, Jacob Loveland, and Catherine Keener.

The premiere is scheduled for October 2024.

The first “Joker” movie of 2019 turned out to be an unexpected MB, grossing more than $1.1 billion in theaters worldwide. Based on DC comics, the film about Gotham City’s crime lord also won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and two Oscars, including for his role as Phoenix.
