Iga Świątek's dress was auctioned for a huge sum

When the world's best tennis players showed up in Cancun at the beginning of November, it was the Pole who was the most talked about. This is due to her gorgeous red outfit designed by Magda Butrim. The impact was greater because all seven remaining contestants chose white dresses.

The 22-year-old decided to turn those delights into something good. And so she donated her red dress and autograph to the Great Christmas Orchestra Charity Auction.

It ended on Wednesday before noon and reached a staggering amount of PLN 68,300. This is the amount that Świątek will donate to the foundation.

37 people participated in the auction.

This is not the first time Świątek has played with a major Christmas charity orchestra. Last year, it gave her a racket and a chance to meet her, and two years ago, the racket she used to win the tournament in Rome, as well as the chance to train together. In total, all auctions brought in almost half a million zlotys.

The 32nd Grand Final of the Christmas Charity Orchestra took place on Sunday, January 28, 2024. This year the orchestra played under the slogan “Lungs after the pandemic. We play for young and old!” It was accompanied by the slogan: “Everything is fine here!” The aim of the group is to purchase modern equipment for the diagnosis, monitoring and rehabilitation of lung diseases in pediatric and adult pulmonology departments. This year, nearly 1,600 headquarters were registered in Poland alone, and more than 100 abroad.
