Iman Villani In an interview with The Direct’s Ross Millheim, she revealed how magic could return to the MCU. She also admitted that she still shows up at every Marvel movie premiere, just like she did when she was just a fan and not a Kamala Khan impersonator.
MCU – Why did magic disappear?
We would like to remind you that the universe was very popular when it was introduced Avengers: Endgame, but with each subsequent premiere, fan enthusiasm seemed to wane. Their dissatisfaction may be evident in the low ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, which can be found on newer titles, e.g Marvel, Thor: Love and Thunder whether Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Obsession.
For context, this is the percentage of positive reviews for all 33 cinematic titles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
How to bring magic back to the MCU?
When asked directly what Marvels Studios needs to do to bring magic back to the MCU, Iman Vellani responded:
I don’t know. I don’t know if the scale has to get bigger and bigger, because then what exactly are we left with? I think it’s just about making the audience care about these characters. And there were a lot of great heroes in the final stretch of the MCU and it would be great to see them together again.
However, the actress added that with the emergence of previously unknown characters, viewers want to see new crossovers and the development of relationships:
Because there are so many new characters, people want to interact with each other, like, “Oh, I’d love to see Kamala and Red Guardian together.” Imagine many such connections. I think it will be worth it. They’ll be, you know, like the next Avengers.
Iman Villani also said that the premieres of Marvel films are a source of happiness for her. As a loyal fan, she still goes to every one of them. She added that commercial success is not an indicator of how much fun she will have on the show. She judges productions based on the emotions she felt after watching them.
I want to leave the session a little lighter and a little happier. I hope viewers do too.
