Battle Royale Remake : Blood Lust

Seems that "Battle Royale" is finally going to get remade here on this side of the pond. All die hard horror/foreign flick fans know what "Battle Royale" is. Well the word at EmpireOnline is that NewLine is going to be doing a remake of this film called "Blood Lust". I have no idea how they are going to remake this movie and get it into theatres since "Battle Royale" crosses every line on violence you can imagine and makes Quentin Tarantino movies look like Sesame Street. Roy Lee & Neal Moritz are on board to work on this project.

"Battle Royale" is one of the most shocking and controversial films in recent Japanese cinema. A high school class has been chosen to be in a "Battle Royale," a fatal game, because of their disrespect, sloth and violence. Thinking they are about to enjoy a field trip, a class of 9th graders calmly boards a bus that brings them face-to-face with the worst instincts of mankind and endless carnage!
