Dragonball Movie Cancelled?

Talk about big news. According to FilmJunk DragonBall is facing doom in the form of CANCELLATION.

According to our tipster, the higher-ups at Fox are not too impressed the footage that has been shot thus far, and are seriously debating shutting the whole thing down. Now I have no idea if this is a real possibility or if the studio is just putting pressure on director James Wong to deliver, but the movie supposedly has a budget of over $100 million and I can understand them wanting to cut some losses while they still can.

This is pretty big news if it ends up being true. I for one am not impressed with what I have seen from the film and it seems I am not alone. The film is being directed by James Wong for 20th Century Fox who are eyeing a April 10, 2009 release date. The film co-stars  James Marsters, Jamie Chung, Emmy Rossum, Eriko Tamura, Joon Park, Chow Yun-Fat, Texas Battle, Randall Duk Kim and Ernie Hudson.
