Iron Man is by far one of my favorite comic book movie adaptations but I have to admit I am not all that excited for Iron Man 3. Number two was luke warm at best. Who knows if a new director and an impressive cast can make the difference.
Variety is reporting that Rebecca Hall who starred in The Town is giong to be starring in Iron Man 3 as the unconfirmed Dr Maya Hansen who developes the Extremis nanotechnlogy and is a scientist on par with Stark. This role was originally going to Jessica Chastain.
Dr Maya Hansen is a very complex character which should add an interesting dimension to the Iron Man 3 film. Will she play the role of villain, lover, victim or all three? No spoilers here but those who read the comics know the potential for this character.
Iron Man 3 will be in theaters May 3rd 2013 and will star Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce and of course Gwyneth Paltrow will return. Are you excited for Iron Man 3?
