The family of Halyna Hutchins – a photographer who died on the set of Rust in 2021 – reached an agreement with Alek Baldwin and withdrew the lawsuit against the actor.
The tragedy of the Western “Rust” group occurred in New Mexico in October 2021. Alec Baldwin was set to play the outlaw Rust, who accused his 13-year-old grandson of accidentally causing the death of a man.
While filming a scene with a prop pistol, the actor fired a blunt bullet from a weapon that injured 42-year-old cinematographer Helena Hutchins and 48-year-old director Joel Souza. Hutchins was killed instantly and Souza was taken to the hospital. After the accident, filming stopped.
