The leaders of Germany, France and Italy go to Kyiv

“German Chancellor Olaf Schulz plans to go to Kyiv, and French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi will also take part in the joint trip,” Bild am Sonntag newspaper reported on Saturday. The German newspaper indicates that the visit will take place before the G7 summit scheduled for June 26-28.

“Berlin and Paris have long held talks about a joint trip to the Ukrainian capital. Macron was insisting that it took place after the elections for the National Assembly, the lower house of the French parliament on June 12 and 19. The newspaper stresses that the visit must bear witness to the European unity in relation to Ukraine.

Although Kyiv has been safe for a long time, none of the aforementioned politicians have visited the city since February 24. Let us remember that the Polish president, prime minister and deputy prime minister for security have already traveled to the Ukrainian capital. European Union officials and our country’s leaders are also coming to Kyiv.

Kyiv: Meeting with the President of Ukraine and the President of the European Commission

On Saturday, the President of the European Commission visited the Ukrainian capital. Conversation between Zelensky and von der Leyen is involved Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
