Motorcycle enthusiasts in eastern Poland have been waiting for this moment for a month. On Thursday night Bartosz Zmarzlik made his debut in the colors of Platinum Motor Lublin in front of the home crowd. But it wasn’t very big. The three-time world champion in the confrontation with Petard Sparta Wroclaw scored only 7 points, which contributed to the defeat of the hosts 44:46.

Gorzów Stal’s student from the start of the match had problems getting off the bar and although he was very fast from distance, he couldn’t find a way to escape from the visitors’ players. The breakthrough came in the fourth series of starts, when Zamrzalik arrived for the third engine this evening.

However, a moment later, in the first favourites, the new leader of Platinum Motor failed again. “It definitely wasn’t supposed to look like this,” Zmrzylik wrote directly on social media after the competition.

“I tried, but today nothing works as it should. In an instant, together with the whole team, we will start working hard again, so that tomorrow (Friday – author’s note) will be much better,” added Zamrzelik.

The poor performance of Bartosz Zmarzelec in Thursday’s match in Lublin was a surprise, because less than two weeks ago the three-time world champion was far from his rivals in Czestochowa and greeted the “Kozioczki” with a 15-point set.

The new player at Platinum Motor has a chance for a quick rehabilitation, because on Friday he will have another match in the PGE Ekstraliga. This time he will go to the famous Gorzów. On the track where he grew up and covered thousands of laps, it must have been easy for him to break down.
