Noem, the governor of South Dakota, has written a book that is part autobiography, part attack on Democrats, part account of her political agenda and — says the Guardian, which was first to report the politician's 14th murder — a month-old dog and her pet goat.

The female, a wire-haired cricket, was lively and “ruined Noem’s pheasant hunt” because she “went mad with excitement” and frightened the birds, and while returning from hunting she bit a neighbor’s hen.
“I hated that dog,” Noem admitted. She judged the cricket untrainable and “less valuable as a hunting dog.”
After the hunt, the governor shot the dog, and then decided to kill the goat, which, as she wrote, “was malignant” and smelt of “rotten fat.”
“It was not a pleasant task (…) but it had to be done,” Noem wrote.
The governor faced a wave of criticism after The Guardian newspaper published details of the animal killings described by Noem. In response, Noem said, “Difficult decisions like this happen all the time on the farm. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago we had to euthanize three horses that had been with our family for 25 years.”

According to the British daily newspaper, the governor of South Dakota is considered a “strong candidate” for the position of vice president if Donald Trump defeats Joe Biden in November.
Noem endorsed Trump last September. At the time, she also openly expressed her desire to become vice president if Trump asked her to do so. At the beginning of this year, the former president also admitted that he was considering nominating Noem for vice president.
In December last year, Axios reported that one of Trump's potential vice presidential nominees was controversial columnist Tucker Carlson, who was fired from Fox News and is known for his pro-Russia and pro-Putin views.
