A few days before Halloween, the Théâtre Saint-Denis changed the traditional red carpet to an ebony carpet for the premiere of the musical. The Addams Family. Note to artists and celebrities invited to the event: wear their best black outfits.
Many of them accepted director René Simart’s invitation to reunite with Gomez, Morticia and company. This time, the famous Addams clan reunites on stage to celebrate their traditional annual family dinner.
Brought to the screen in 1991 by filmmaker Barry Sonnenfeld. The Addams Family were first born on the pages of New Yorker Set in the 1930s, Gomez, Morticia and their gang finally made the leap to Broadway stages in 2010, led by Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth. The Quebec version of the show is headlined by Rita Tubbock (Morticia), Luc Guerin (Gomez), Alexandra Sicard (Wednesday) and Tommy Joubert (Uncle Fetide).
