What do we know about the movie “Joker: Folie à deux”?
The “Joker” sequel is supposed to be an unusual sequel. The first film has been described as a combination of “Taxi Driver” and “The King of Comedy”. “Joker: Folie à deux” was announced as music. The screenwriters are Scott Silver and Todd Phillips, the duo also responsible for the first “Joker”.
The plot is kept secret. However, we do know that the main thread will be the romance between the title character and Harley Quinn, played by Gaga. This is, of course, one of the most important characters from the Joker’s entourage. In the comics, she was a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum who fell in love with the Joker and became his partner in crime.
The cast also includes Brendan Gleeson, Zazie Beetz, Jacob Loveland, and Catherine Keener.
The premiere is scheduled for October 2024.
