A popular bank in Poland announces changes to its app. We recently learned that this is a major issue Some users will be denied support. We have now learned that one of mBank's legacy programs will be disabled.
mBank plans to abandon its eponymous brokerage app mDM for phone, which was already announced last year. However, the bank decided to mention this issue and announce the platform It will stop working at the end of March. What should its users do?
The mDM mobile app has already been replaced Bursa M BankWhich is constantly being developed and can be downloaded from Google Play (Android), App Store (iOS) and AppGallery (Huawei devices without Google services). It allows you to track current quotes from the Warsaw Stock Exchange and foreign exchanges, has an intuitive interface and allows you to view company announcements and charts.
Users who previously used mDM for the phone should simply switch to the mBank Giełda app and there is no going back on this decision. Investing using this first platform will no longer be possible from April. The bank was planning to introduce these changes earlier, but the date changed. mBank Giełda requires Android 9.0 and iOS 13 or later versions of Google and Apple systems to work.
Meanwhile, mBank customers who use e-banking applications on their phones should also prepare for changes in the near future. Some people will soon lose access to the platform, which the bank explains as “money security reasons.”
mBank app support will soon stop on phones with older operating systems. We're talking about Android before Oreo (8.0) and iOS 15.x and earlier Software versions. Users simply need to update their smartphones to the new systems or get new hardware. The changes will take effect next quarter and you just have to accept them.
