Manchester United beat Everton 2-1. One of the heroes of the meeting at Goodison Park was Cristiano Ronaldo.
The match started poorly for the visitors from Old Trafford. Already in the sixth minute, Casemiro lost the ball that hit Alex Iwobi, who opened the result with a beautiful shot.
A quarter of an hour later, there was a response from Manchester United. Anthony scored the third goal in his third Premier League game.
In the 29th minute, Anthony Martial had to leave the field, as he reported health problems. Cristiano Ronaldo appeared on the field in his place.
Just before the break, “CR7” hit the net. The Portuguese sniper got a pass from Casemiro and defeated Jordan Pickford with a confident shot. Ronaldo’s goal was the 700th in his football career.
In the 58th minute, Casemiro played again for Ronaldo in a good position. But this time the Portuguese missed the goal.
In the 81st minute, Marcus Rashford hit the net, but his goal was not recognized due to his hand move earlier in the match. In overtime, Jordan Pickford ran into United’s penalty area on a corner kick and was about to make a dangerous shot, but missed the ball cleanly.
Manchester won 2-1 and advanced to fifth in the table. Everton is twelfth.
