Ghost of Tsushima needs time. Don’t expect a quick release

Sony celebrates each subsequent episode of “The Last of Us,” but the company clearly doesn’t want to rush the teams responsible for the next projects. Chad Stahelski emphasized that samurai history will have to wait.

Last year, “Ghost of Tsushima” was announced, another great PlayStation Productions project, but for now at least we still don’t know when the cast will arrive on set, we don’t know the cast, and the tentative release date hasn’t been revealed. It seems that Sony is not pressuring the director who wants to properly prepare for this scene, and at the same time he is currently working on other projects.

Chad Stahelski revealed in an interview with Total Film that It already has a complete script and creative team, but the details of the work still need to be finalized in order to be able to take care of the next phase of the project.

“[‘Ghost of Tsushima’] This is my favorite project that I would like to do next. Without going into crazy detail, it’s something I’m very interested in. We have a really cool script. We have a really good creative team. It’s just about getting all the business done. Everyone tries to bring everything down to the last detail to make sure we do it in the best possible way. It’s simple: get a great script and start assembling the cast. It just requires a lot of moving parts.”

The creator noted in the conversation that he’s still working on “John Wick 4,” is developing an “Immortal” reboot, and will also be working on several more series. That’s why ‘Ghost of Tsushima’ will have to wait.

“Of course, Ghost is a special project. Everyone is aware of that. Everyone wants to do it, with the introduction of new technologies and a new way of creating an epic samurai atmosphere. There is still a lot of work to be done before we really pull the trigger, mostly on my part.” And now we’re in the process of trying to get everything together so we can make it big.”
