In May, the Happier Than Ever author’s rep confirmed that he and The Neighborhood singer had split after seven months of dating and were “remaining good friends”.
During a Q&A with fans on his Instagram Stories over the weekend, the musician gave an update on his relationship status when asked if he was dating anyone.
“No SIRRRRR (sic),” she replied with three smiley face emojis.
The Bad Guy singer was asked about his relationship with Jessie, and he replied, “Just very good friends. My friend forever.”
Billie Eilish and Jessie Rutherford, 31, began dating in October 2022 and made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Lacma Art + Film Gala the following month, for which they wore matching Gucci dresses.
The singer went public with her relationship for the first time during an interview with Vanity Fair published last November, and revealed that she was indeed suing Jesse.
“It’s really cool, I’m really excited and happy,” he said at the time. “Not only did I know a guy who I thought was the most handsome guy on earth, but I was able to get his face! So? Am I flattered? Thanks, Jesse Rutherford, everyone. I am. I did. I got it!”.
