Boy Eats Girl - New Zombie Movie

It's been reported that Samantha Mumba (The Time Machine) has begun filming her first ever Irish feature film.

"Boy Eats Girl", directed by Stephen Bradley, is a teen horror comedy movie based on a traditional love story with a twist - they are all zombies.

It is the first time the Irish film industry here has shot a horror movie and its producers believe it will be an international hit.

Samantha agrees:

"I think a lot of people are going to like it. I'm having fun doing it. Basically I play a character who is 17 called Jessica. She is very cool, very sweet and innocent but she gets to kick some ass in the end, so it is a great movie."

A boy declares his love for his girlfriend, only to die the same night. He is brought back to life by his mother as a flesh-craving zombie, who sires more teen undead while trying to control his, er, appetite for his beloved.

The movie has an intersting premise to be sure. It looks as though it's going to be marketed to the teen crowd and I guess the zombies are going to be of the talkative type, but lets wait and see what they come up with! Filming should be wrapped up near the end of this year.
