Casting news on PULSE Remake

One of our readers by the name of Nikki emailed to give us an update on the casting of PULSE and here is what Nikki had to say:

Kristen Bell, Star of the hit tv show "Veronica Mars", has been casted in the remake of the japanese horror film Kairo (Pulse).Along with a newcomer named Steve Talley. The film has also gained a director,a commercial director named Jim Sonzero will make his directorial debut with this film. This remake is slasted to be released under the Weinstein brothers new company once their contract with Miramax expires this fall. Mike Leahy and Joel Soisson of Neo art and Logic are producing. The original japanese film revolved around a website which promises it's users the ability to make contact with the dead.This film will follow the same storyline pretty much.

After one of their friends commits suicide, strange things begin happening to a group of young people. One of them sees visions of his dead friend in the shadows on the wall, while another's computer keeps showing strange, ghostly images. Is their friend trying to contact them from beyond the grave, or is there something much more sinister going on?
