Special Gets Theatrical Run

Michael Rapaport has always been a really funny guy in my opinion. The problem is he is always put in real bad situations where the film or TV show is doomed. I thought the television show War at Home that he was on was fantastic but being a comedy on FOX is never an easy thing. Especially when they move the show around three or four times.

Well today I received word about a movie I had no idea he was even in. Special is the story of a lonely comic book geek who has nothing better to do with his life. That is, until he signs up for a experimental drug that has some adverse side effects that give him super powers.. or so he thinks.

According to the MTV Movie Blog the film will be getting a theatrical release "later this year" by Magnolia Pictures. Unfortunately it means it won't get any kind of wide release but at least Magnolia will give it a proper DVD release. There is also word traveling that a sequel may be in the works already.
