In the second semifinal, the Americans confidently beat Italy 3-0. American volleyball players, like the white and red teams, won three Nations League medals, two silver and a bronze. The Italian national team has been in the best four of the event only once so far – last year, when it was the organizer of the final tournament, it finished fourth.
Sixteen national teams have joined the competition in this year’s Volleyball Nations League. The final tournament will be held from July 19-23 in Gdańsk. The eight leading teams on the intercontinental stage performed at Ergo Arena, which was won by the United States.
The 2022 Nations League was won by France, who beat the United States 3-2 in the final match held in Bologna. Poland won the bronze medal. Irvin Ngapet was named Most Valuable Player.
