On the same day, Kawa will meet Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk in the women's doubles, and in the men's doubles we will see the Polish duo Monaski Zielinski and Hugo Ness. Our doubles player will play two matches a few hours apart, because on Saturday he will also start competing in mixed doubles with Taiwan's Su-Wei Hsieh.

Świętek will also face Czech Linda Noskova in the third round of the women's tournament. This will be the first confrontation in the evening session at the central facility of the complex in Melbourne – Rod Laver Arena. The meeting is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. Polish time. Katarzyna Kawa was supposed to play in the second round of doubles. She was scheduled to play with Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk on Court No. 13 along with German Tamara Korbach and Frenchman Alexan Leshemiya. However, “our” duo lost the match by forfeit.

This means that there are no longer Polish players in women's doubles. Magda Linnet withdrew due to injury, and Katarzyna Petr and Belarusian Ledzija Maruzawa were eliminated in the first round.
