Migrant caravan towards the United States of America

One migrant, Ysgiel Jean from Haiti, who carried a white cross with the word “Christ” written in red letters, said he left his country because of crime and corruption and because he wanted to support his two daughters, Reuters reported.

The Associated Press reports that a caravan of migrants from Central America, Venezuela, Cuba and other countries is crossing Mexico at a time when US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is preparing to visit this country. He is scheduled to speak there about other agreements on controlling the flow of immigrants to the United States.

Up to 10,000 people have been arrested at the southwestern US border this month. Illegal immigrants daily. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers had to stop rail traffic through border crossings in Texas while migrants boarded freight trains, the Associated Press reported.
