On Thursday, up the flying hill to Kulm, it was so windy it hurt your head. The jumpers didn't even attempt to jump. The jury quickly decided to postpone the training and then cancel the qualifications.
However, they were given a margin and it was assumed that it would be possible to conduct at least one training series. Due to strong winds, these efforts were not effective and the decision was quickly made to cancel the training.
It's not blowing hard anymore, but it's raining hard
On Friday the winds will definitely be gentler, however There are still stronger gusts. However, there are moments – unlike Thursday – when you can jump. Plus it rains constantly. Very intense sometimes.
The training sessions were scheduled for 9.00. Unfortunately, it must be taken into account that this watch may be transferred. The competition is scheduled to start at 14.00But to get started, you need to conduct at least one training session.
High wind warnings will be in effect as of 4 p.m.
Fortunately, the weather forecast is much better for Saturday and Sunday.
The official opening ceremony of the World Flying Championships was held on Thursday. It happened right under the ski jump. The Polish team showed up in full force, with Aleksandar Znieszczul being our standard bearer.
