The national team players will meet in Warsaw on Monday, November 13, to prepare for the last two matches this year – on November 17 against the Czech Republic in the framework of the Euro 2024 qualifiers and on November 21 in a friendly match against Latvia. Both matches will be played at PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw.
There is a Touchstone menu
Touchstone revealed his cards late on Thursday evening, after the end of the first leg between Rakov Czestochova and Sporting in the Europa League. The full list of players was published on the profile “Łączy nas Piłka” on social media.
Call-ups to the November training camp:
Goalkeepers: Marcin Buka, Lukasz Skorupski, Wojciech Szczesny
Defenders: Jan Bednarek, Pawel Buchniewicz, Matej Kash, Tomas Kedziora, Jakub Kuyor, Patrik Bedda, Bartlomiej Wodweck, Mateusz Vytiska
Helpers: Adrian Benedezzak, Patrik Dziczek, Przemyslaw Frankowski, Kamil Grusicki, Jakub Piotrowski, Bartosz Slich, Damian Szymanski, Sebastian Szymanski, Pawel Wzolek, Nikola Zalewski, Piotr Zelinski.
Attackers: Adam Buxa, Robert Lewandowski, Karol Swiderski
Back after a long break
Among those called up, the name of Pavel Buchnejevic particularly stands out, as he was absent from the national team for three years and played his last match against Ukraine at the end of 2020. His appointment is likely a result of Pawel Dawidovic’s injury. Adrian Benedesjak, who has been in impressive form at Parma, could get a chance to make his first-team debut.
Touchstone also surprised by letting go of two players who had been proven players in the national team in recent years – defender Bartosz Pierzynski and striker Arkadiusz Milik.
There is still a chance for an upgrade
The Polish national team still has a chance to qualify directly for Euro 2024, but for this to happen, a number of conditions must be met.
The main goal is to beat the Czech Republic. Then we can count on Moldova not losing to the Czechs in the last match, but not scoring more than three points in the two-legged match in November (the second match is against Albania).
