Sony is working on a sequel to the popular horror film.  The star's return is doubtful, but the odds are high

After a long and fierce competition with Warner Bros., Sony has acquired the rights to “28 Years Later,” the sequel to the well-known 2002 horror classic “28 Days Later.”

Behind the project will be the creators of the original film, director Danny Boyle and screenwriter Alex Garland, who are planning to create another zombie movie. Boyle will direct the first part, while Garland will write the screenplay for the second part.
