Lizzie Enns, 36, of Ohio, grew up in the Swartzentruber Amish community, one of the more conservative subgroups of the ancient Amish sect. The people of her village refused to install sewage systems, had no bathrooms in their homes, traveled by horse-drawn carts, used only wood stoves for cooking and heating, and eschewed all modern conveniences. However, women had to wear dresses that reached the tops of their shoes.

Her mother gave birth to 19 children naturally
My parents have 19 children, including three sets of twins. I am one of the twins. But not only that. My mother gave birth to all her children naturally,” Lizzie said.
The second thing that shocks people is that Lizzie, as a member of the Amish community, did not have a Social Security number. “When I escaped, I had to get this number, and let’s not forget that I only had $20 in my pocket,” the 36-year-old said in the video.
Another thing that usually arouses great interest is whether a woman knows three different languages: Pennsylvanian (a variety of German spoken by the Amish in the USA), English and German.
The video posted by Lizzie quickly gained popularity online and has been viewed more than 2.6 million times.
