American composer Richard Sherman wrote popular melodies for Disney productions Mary Poppins Or The Jungle BookHe died Saturday at the age of 95, the studio announced.
Disney said he died in Beverly Hills due to an illness in his old age.
With his brother Robert, who passed away in 2012, he formed a duo of great composers in entertainment between 1960 and 1973, participating in the creation of more than 200 songs for 27 films and around twenty television productions.

In a press release, the US company described Richard Sherman as a “key member” of its founder Walt Disney’s “close circle of creative talent”.
