Political correctness in movies is nothing new!  The proof is Frankenstein.

Frankenstein's monster is immortal not just in movies – he is a character that has become an integral part of popular culture and has been around for over 200 years. However, even the “Frankenstein” film of the 1930s had to face warnings for sensitive viewers, and some scenes had to be censored.
