Jimmy Kimmel was banned from the Oscars for making defamatory comments about Donald Trump.
The 56-year-old actor was up to no good as, at the end of the evening, after mostly fulfilling his duties as host, he read a scathing review of his work. Written by Donald Trump.
“I'm really proud and was wondering if I could share it with you. I just got a review. Can you guess which former president posted this on Truth Social? Who?” Master began.
“Thank you, President Trump! Thanks for watching! I am surprised. No time to go to jail?” said the presenter sarcastically playing on words in English bed time (bedtime) and Jail time (imprisonment period).
He added of the Republican candidate for the next presidential election: “He's focused on the important things, that's for sure.”
Today, four-time Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel revealed that the show's organizers had apparently asked him not to read the message aloud. “They said to me, 'You have a little more time,' and I said, 'I'll read Trump's tweet,' and they said, 'No, no, don't read it.' And I said, 'Yeah, I'll read it.' ,” Jimmy Kimmel said on the show Live with Kelly and MarkIt airs during the day.
Donald Trump mockingly criticized Jimmy Kimmel's performance as host. “The presidential candidate wrote: “Was there ever a worse host at the Oscars than Jimmy Kimmel? His presentation was that of a below-average person, trying too hard to be what he wasn't and couldn't be. Maybe fire Kimmel and replace him with another ABC talent, George Slopanopoulos, who has nothing to prove but is cheap.
