On Sunday, a ceremony was held in Lublin, during which the “Wprost” eagles were honored. These prestigious awards honor entrepreneurs, institutions, local governments and people who make a special contribution to the development of the economy and science both in the Lublin region and the country as a whole. As the organizers point out, the most innovative companies and entrepreneurs who try to break patterns every day, showing special ingenuity and sensitivity, were appreciated.

The winners of the Orły Wprost Prize can be: Entrepreneurs who use EU funds most effectively or who can boast of the advantages of Poland’s economic development. In addition to local government officials who contribute in a special way to the development and service of local communities. Personalities and personalities who are ambassadors of the region whose achievements go beyond its borders, or prominent representatives of science, medicine, health care and social activists.

Mayor Janow Lubleski, Krzysztof Koczew, and Richard Gulick, Mayor of Niederswiecka Dowie, have been awarded for the Local Government Member category. This is part of the excellent use of European funds. Among the companies nominated, PGE Dystrybucja received the Eagle Award. Here, the jury noted that the company, which has been striving to develop energy infrastructure, has been actively obtaining external funds to support investments for years. Only last year it was PLN 112 million. The Distinguished World Eagle in the region was awarded to prof. The Eagles in the Innovative in Region category went to Medical Inventi and the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. The head of the Association for Helping Handicapped Children “Step by Step” in Zaszów was awarded the Polish Education Chief Maria Kroll. In the Scientific Activity category, the President of the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw, Professor Bartosz Mulick, and the Vice-President of the AWF Warszawa Branch in Biała Podlaska, Professor Jerzy Sadoski, were honored. In the category of the innovative scientific program, the Rector of the Medical University of Lublin, Prof. Wojciech Zaluska. The award was given to the program “Good to see”.

The “Wstawaj Alicja” Foundation and the Neurorehabilitation Center in Turka, which were created on the initiative of Agnieszka and Wojciech Mazurka, parents of Alicja, in a coma as a result of a car accident, were awarded for the social activity of the Orzeł “Wprost district. In the personality category, the statuette went to Krzysztof Cugowski, and in the Eagle Region Athlete category, speed-climbing specialist Aleksandra Mirosław is the current world record holder in this category.

Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka was awarded the Eagle Award in the category of Sustainable Development Leader, Puławskie Azoty in the category of Socially Responsible Company and JMP Flowers in the Family Business category. In the category of sports, the statuette went to the Speedway Lublin track club, in the category of social activity it was awarded to Caritas of the Lublin Diocese, and in the category of the local food producer Olo-Vita Oil House.

Eagles has been awarded “Wprost” since 2016. The award is a nod to the exceptional distinction that the publisher of “Wprost,” Michal Maciej Lisicki, has received from Institute President Ryszard Kaczorowski for proving in his day-to-day activities that when running a business, you can fly the white and red flag high, and that Be a patriot and act for Poland.
