Lords of the Fallen.  CI Games shares fell on the day of the game’s release

CI Games shares ended Friday’s trading on the Warsaw Stock Exchange down more than 17 percent. That day saw the premiere of the company’s flagship game, Lords of the Fallen.

On Thursday, CI Games shares fell more than 10% to PLN 4.50. The stock sell-off continued on Friday and the company ended the last session this week down 17.11%. This was the largest decline of all companies from the WIG index during Friday’s prices on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

“Today is the premiere of Lords of the Fallen and a further drop in the price. Can a similar scenario be achieved here as in the case of the debut of Cyberpunk (CD Projekt)?” – said Marcin Mierzwa, analyst at stooq.pl, in his morning commentary. It’s about the decline in CD Projekt’s share price after the September debut of Phantoms of Freedom – an expansion of the Cyberpunk 2077 story.

The price of CI Games has just reached a 6-month low of PLN 3.73. The company’s securities began to decline in mid-September, and within a month they lost more than a third of their value.

“Lords of The Fallen is a stronghold for players who love action RPGs, especially soul-based ones. It’s a big, complex game and the first true next-gen representative of the genre.
