The decision was then made to secure the body for autopsy, which would enable the exact causes of death to be determined. The Public Prosecutor confirmed that activities are currently underway with the aim of ruling out the possible involvement of third parties.

In 2016, the businessman was accused of corruption. Patricia Z., former deputy head of the South African Industrial Development Agency, and four other people were arrested with him. Krzanowski has not pleaded guilty to the charges against him and has said he is innocent.
