Is Helldivers 2 a huge success? The game is receiving mixed reviews on Steam due to technical issues with the PC version

Helldivers 2 was a huge success. The game was released on February 8, 2024 for PC and PS5 and is a continuation of the 2015 game. The title turned out to be the third best-selling PlayStation title on Steam, peaking at over 64,000 concurrent players on PC. Only two PlayStation games performed better on Steam: God of War and Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered.

However, not everything is as rosy as it may seem. Helldivers 2 is experiencing many technical issues on PC. The game has very mixed reviews, with people complaining about frequent crashes, poor optimization, lack of DLSS and FSR support, and awkward mouse operation. Some people suspect that the nProtect GameGuard anti-cheat system used by the game is responsible for the issues.

Arrowhead Game Studios, the developer of Helldivers 2, has not yet commented on the situation. It is not known if and when the game will receive patches that will remove bugs and improve performance. Some players are calling on Sony to abandon nProtect GameGuard and replace it with another system that does not negatively impact the game.

Helldivers 2 is a game that has a lot of potential and can provide many hours of great fun. Let's hope Sony and Arrowhead Game Studios resolve these issues quickly and make Helldivers 2 run smoothly and stably on PC.
