In early 2023 and 2024, the police chemical plant company’s fire brigade will be equipped with a new firefighting and rescue vehicle.
Moto-Truck, which completed the Zakłady Chemiczne order, used a Mercedes Arocs 3251L 8×4 four-axle chassis with a 511 hp engine.
Firefighters are transported in a Mercedes factory cab that seats two and a crew cabin that seats four. Communication was provided by windows in both compartments connected by a flexible rubber sleeve.
The body is a structure made of metal in a 2 + 2 + 1 compartment arrangement. The roof is in the form of a working platform.
The vehicle has three tanks installed: a water tank with a capacity of 10,000 litres, a foaming agent for extinguishing polar substances with a capacity of 1,100 litres, and a foaming agent for extinguishing non-polar substances with a capacity of 4,000 litres. At the rear of the vehicle there is an A60/8 class truck pump with a capacity of 6200 liters per minute.
A remote-controlled water and foam cannon with a capacity of 4,000 liters per minute was placed on the roof of the building, with a throwing range of about 80 metres. It has a targeting camera with software that prevents water jets from hitting a car cabin, for example.
There is of course a fast attack line, a light mast, a winch, a sprinkler system, a sanitary corner and a lighting system for the work area.
